Halloween Themed Snacks
As a mom and preschool teacher, I have been engrossed in Halloween themed snacks and Halloween fun! With all this fun came snacks, candy and lots of food! With all the candy around, I found a few ways to fit in Halloween themed snacks that were healthy and slightly unhealthy but fun and child favorites..
Halloween Themed Snacks
- Broom stick with pencil stick and pretzel sweeper
This one is a cute Halloween treat that I use in class goodie bags. It’s simple and gives a small snack without being sweet and sugary.
- Rice cake jack-o-lantern with cream cheese, raisins and pretzel rod
I love this snack because it gives the challenge of spreading the cream cheese. Spreading is a great motor skills activity and they are so proud of their creation before they eat it!
- Mummy hot dog in crescent roll with mustard eyes
This one is not so healthy but always a kids favorite. It’s quick and easy.
- Spider pb&j with 8 pretzel legs
This one can be altered in so many ways. Butters and jellies can be mixed and matched along with bread to best suite diets and tastes.
- Veggie tray jack-o-lantern
This is a cute way to transform the everyday carrots and dip into a fun Halloween themed snack.
- Orange pumpkins
A little piece of fruit and a boots of vitamin C is always helpful in the fall!
- Apple, peanut butter and marshmallow Dracula teeth
The fun part is trying to get it into your mouth! This themed snack is so cute and really mess. Sometimes its fun to play with your food.

How fun! My daughter is a 5th grade teacher. I wanted to do the Dracula teeth, but she informed me that I couldn’t make anything ‘scary’ or ‘Halloween like’. Her school has some policy that some kids don’t celebrate Halloween. I think it has to do with their religion. But I made the Candy Corn Jello cups for her class and they loved them.
Cute! The teeth weren’t scary but they were delicious for sure!!! Jello cups are a fun idea!!
