Healthline Migraine Video: Meet me at the Race

Introducing my Healthline Migraine Video. Meet me at the Walk with Migraine was filmed by Healthline, a partner of mine. They contacted me because they were interested in my efforts with Miles for Migraine. This summer, I worked hard to fund raise for Miles for Migraine.  I participated in walks in Phoenix, spoke in Cincinnati and received many awards in Cleveland.  Through this, I was filmed by Healthline.  I have to admit, it was strange to have a film crew follow me but it was empowering at the same time.  By the end, I loved it and knew my message would be captured.

Full disclosure, it was the hottest day of the summer and I sweated A LOT!

The first time I watched

I found that I was focusing on the wrong things. I’m not one to look in the mirror too often and seeing it all in slow motion  was difficult.  I don’t love my voice in audio and am critical of myself. Every race, I walk with migraine and I should be proud of that. It’s not what I look like, it’s what I do!

The second time I watched

My children peered over my shoulder.  This time it was different.  My daughter looked at me and said, “I’m proud of you, Mom!” and my son said, “Mom, you looked so pretty!” THIS is what I need to hear!

In the last few weeks, I have been comforting friends who have doubted themselves.  I have commented, “If you could only see yourself through my eyes.  You would see beauty!”  I find that it is easier to give support and see perfection in others when it’s so difficult to see in myself.

The next time I watch

I’m reminding myself to look past the wrinkles and see the strength.  To listen beyond the tone and hear the message.  Next time, I want to see everything I do and be proud! For now on, when I watch my Healthline Migraine video, all I’m going to be is proud.

Meet Me at the Walk with Migraine

Thank you to everyone who has supported me in my Miles for Migraine efforts and migraine advocacy.  Without you I couldn’t make the difference I make!  You inspire me to do more and your faces surrounding me in this video will forever be cemented.

Please enjoy and Share!
