When everything stops working
July 14, 2015/
I’m having a really rough week! I traveled this weekend, last weekend & will be again next weekend. Along with this, the weather has been really tough & once again I have PMS. I have never been able to control this combination. Cycles are so hard to break and I’m feeling down. It reminded me of this post…..I just keep reminding myself, I’ve gotten through it before, I’ll do it again.

I’m so sorry nothing seems to be working for you. How do you get the pain to subside without medication? I’d love to know.
I’ve just been prescribed Frovatriptan and then as a backup Ubrelvy. I noticed that the Frova will work sometimes but the headache will come back the next day. So I take the Frova again and then if it is still coming back I take Ubrelvy. I hate taking medication so much. I’m also on Gabapentin which seems to have reduced the headaches to once a week.
Again, I hate taking medication for this so if you can give my any ideas of how you stop the pain without it please do.
Hi. I was off meds for a while and it just didn’t work. I now take Aimovig (I have a post on it) and it has helped tremendously! I also take Nurtec. There are so many more options now more than before.
Have you tried any preventatives? I also hate taking medication but it’s necessary for me to have any quality of life. I do a lot of lifestyle changes in order to keep symptoms in check and my body as consistent as possible. Do you have a good doctor you are consulting?
